Aims of Diaspora

Diaspora is the publication of Korean Professionals International (KPI). It attempts to advocate, among others:

(i) Global peace and nonviolence, with recognized self-defense against organized violence such as imperialistic invasions or piracy

(ii) Deep ecology for the survival and prosperity of humanity

(iii) Substantive (national and international) reduction of the prevailing gross inequity and inequality

(iv) Adoption of a holistic view of humans, rather than a gross reductionism like Homoeconomicus, aka the clever economic animal.

All autonomous professionals who concur with these objectives have a moral obligation to join forces to help the world achieve them. Ecology and economics share a common etymology. The former originated from the Greek words oikos (household) and logos (study), while the latter did from oikos (household) and nomos (management). The Earth is the oikos (household) for all humanity and species. All humans (except the miseducated or misguided ones) instinctively know there is no other way but to manage the household (comprising children, parents, and grandparents) ethically. Creating and managing a democratic, peaceful, and sustainable global household for our children and their descendants is an enterprise that transcends all cultures, ethnicities, nation-states, races, and sexual orientations.
